Member of the Armagh Pike Kickers, a relay team of Colin Lindsay, Gairoid Derry and Aidan Walsh, who set a relay record in 6 hours 57 minutes 22 seconds at the ILDSA Lough Erne 25km and 17km National Championship held on 5 August 2017.

He won the 2017-2018 Global Swim Series in the male non-wetsuit division.
