Clinton Lake

Clinton Lake provides flood protection for 156 square miles of the Wakarusa River valley downstream from the dam in the state of Kansas, and is part of a network of Corps Lakes that help control flooding on the Kansas, Missouri and Mississippi Rivers.
A portion of the lake storage is used to provide water, up to 10 million gallons per day, to the City of Lawrence and surrounding communities.
