Claire Ryan is a 43-year-old Irish cold water swimmer who serves as an International Ice Swimming Association official from Dublin, Ireland.

Open Water Swimming Career[edit]

  • She is certified as an IISA Official Observer L1 as of 1 March 2022.
  • She completed an Ice Mile in 46:35.06 in Conroy Pond in February 2016.
  • She completed her fourth career Ice Mile in Wild Water Armagh in 44 minutes 31 seconds on 18 February 2018 in 4.1°C water temperature and 7°C air temperature.
  • On 3 January 2021 at the age of 42, she swam 2.0 km in 56 minutes 19 seconds in 4.7°C water temperature and 1.0°C air temperature.
  • On 21 February 2016, she completed an Ice Mile in Wild Water Armagh, Ireland in 4.63°C water and 5.00°C air in 46 minutes 35 seconds.
  • On 3 December 2016, she completed an Ice Mile in Wild Water Armagh, Ireland in 4.23°C water and 4.20°C air in 48 minutes 29 seconds.
  • On 14 January 2017, she completed an Ice Mile in Wild Water Armagh, Ireland in 2.03°C water and 3.00°C air in 49 minutes 15 seconds.
  • On 18 February 2018, she completed an Ice Mile in Wild water armagh, Northern Ireland in 4.13°C water and 7.00°C air in 44 minutes 31 seconds.
  • On 8 March 2018, she completed an Ice Mile in 40 Foot, Irish Sea, Dublin in 4.70°C water and 3.20°C air, swimming 1.10 miles in 47 minutes 18 seconds.
  • On 2 February 2019, she completed an Ice Mile in Clontarf Baths, Dublin, Ireland in 2.40°C water and 4.00°C air in 43 minutes 56 seconds.
  • On 3 January 2021, she completed an Ice Mile in Lough Bray Lower, Ireland in 4.70°C water and -2.30°C air, swimming 1.24 miles in 56 minutes 19 seconds.
