Christopher James Smith is a British open water swimmer who completed two Oceans Seven channels in his career.
Open Water Swimming Career Highlights
- On 6 September 2007, he completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 10 hours 37 minutes at the age of 19.
- On 24 September 2008, he completed a 14.4 km crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain to Morocco in 4 hours 16 minutes at the age of 20.
- On 21 June 2010, he completed a 14.4 km crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain to Morocco in 4 hours 51 minutes at the age of 22, starting at Perejil, Spain and finishing in Morocco.
- On 20 August 2017, he finished ninth in the 28.5-mile (45.8 km) 20 Bridges Circumnavigation Swim of Manhattan in New York City in 7 hours 36 minutes 58 seconds at the age of 29.
