Chloe Harris
Chloe Harris is an open water swimmer from Christchurch, New Zealand and a member of the North Beach Surf Club who was honored for the New Zealand Triple Crown of Swimming (Foveaux Strait from Stewart Island to the Bluff + Cook Strait + 40.2 km Lake Taupo) at the 2018 New Zealand Ultra-Marathon Swim Awards.
Open Water Swimming Career
- She won the 17.5 km race at the Epic Swim Festival in Lake Taupo in January 2016.
- On 1 February 2016, she became the fastest person to swim across the 28.6 km Foveaux Strait in New Zealand between Stewart Island/Rakiura, New Zealand's third largest island, and South Island, piloted by Peter Leask finishing in 8 hours 30 minutes.
- On 22 December 2017, she completed a 40.2 km crossing of Lake Taupo from Little Waihi to Taupo Yacht Club in 13 hours 49 minutes.
- On 24 March 2017, she completed a 23 km crossing of the Cook Strait from North Island to South Island in New Zealand in 7 hours 17 minutes 24 seconds.
