Cheryl Osimo
Cheryl Osimo is the Director of Events and Communication of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and Outreach Coordinator of Silent Spring Institute. She is the race organizer of the Against The Tide, a series of charity events on behalf of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition. The first event of 2012 is held at DCR’s Hopkinton State Park on 23 June; the second event is held on 18 August at DCR’s Nickerson State Park.
Against The Tide
The Against The Tide events consist of a 1-mile competitive or recreational swim, a 2-mile kayak, a 3-mile walk and/or a 5K or 10K competitive or recreational run, and an aqualthlon which includes a 1-mile competitive swim plus 5 km or 10 km run.
The Against the Tide begins at 7 am and lasts until 12 noon. All participants over 18 must raise a minimum of US$175 by the event day, all of which will go towards breast cancer prevention research. Participants can also enter to win a certificate for 6 on a Hy-Line Cruises 2012 Cape Cod Canal Live Music Cruise (21+) by being one of the first 40 people to register online!
