Chappie's Swim Challenge was a 1-mile sea swim and charity event on 27 September 2014 in Greystones Harbour by and on behalf of Johnny Hayden (also known as Chappie), a former Irish surfer and fishermen.
Johnny Hayden Trust
To date the Johnny Hayden Trust has raised approximately €70,000. The initial €40,000 raised enabled Hayden to return to the Guttman Clinic where he received his rehabilitation treatment. The remainder of the money is going towards his rehabilitation at home where he requires specialist physiotherapy.
