Cerys Thomas

Cerys Thomas is a 38-year-old British open water swimmer, ice swimmer, Ironman triathlete, and Ice Ironman who serves as an International Ice Swimming Association official. Born in Gibraltar he has lived most of his life in Sheffield, England. He swam competitively from the age of 7 until he was 16, then played water polo for four years, and qualified as a lifeguard. He completed his Assistant Swim Teachers Qualification and worked for Omega Sports TIming at numerous international swimming events around England. He qualified to represent Great Britain at the European Long Course Age Group Triathlon Championships in Weymouth. He trains with the Yorkshire Outdoor Swimmers.

- He completed an ice swim on 10 February 2016 at the Harthill Reservoir in Rotherham in 5.0°C water temperature in 34 minutes 11 seconds.
