Castellammare di Stabia (Neapolitan: Castiellammare 'e Stabia) is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania region, in Italy. It is situated on the Bay of Naples about 30 km (19 miles) southeast of Naples, on the route to Sorrento.

Procida is one of the Flegrean Islands off the coast of Naples in southern Italy. The island is between Cape Miseno and the island of Ischia. Albert Coward and Chris Stockdale where they swam a 1 km circumnavigation swim around the Castello near Procida for 27 consecutive years and began their 42.3 km 17 hour 28 minute tandem swim from Ischia to Castellammare across the Bay of Naples in 1986.
