Open Water Swimming Career Highlights
- Carole and her sister Sarah Hunt became the first twins to successfully swim across the English Channel on 6 August 1988 in 9 hours 29 minutes at the age of 26.
- The twin sisters also competed in the 1990 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy.
- The twins competed in the 1987 32 km Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean finishing in 9 hours 5 minutes.
- Carole won the 1986 7.5 mile Galway Bay Swim in 2 hours and 41 minutes.
- She competed in the 1991 FINA World Championship 25 km race.
