- On 31 August 2019, he finished 12th in the 45.9 km 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan Island in New York City in 7 hours 54 minutes 51 seconds at the age of 47.
- He was the first person from Chiapas, Mexico to cross the English Channel. He crossed on 18 August 2018 in 14 hours 21 minutes escorted by Lance Oram on the Sea Satin.
