Open Water Swimming Highlights

  • He completed a 33.5 km crossing of the English Channel from England to France on 31st July 2009 in a time of 13 hours and 3 minutes (a surprising fast time to him as much as anybody else).
  • When he started his endurance swimming journey, Richards was mentored by some of the titans of our sport and he is therefore keen to continue mentoring as many swimmers as possible - especially when they are striving for the larger challenges we face in the world of open water endurance swimming.
