Carissa Moore
Carissa Kainani Moore (born 27 August 1992) is an Hawaiian surfer who won the 2011 Association of Surfing Professionals Women's World Tour and 6 Association of Surfing Professional Women's World Tour events including the Billabong Rio Pro, Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic and the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, and two 6-Star events.
Moore, a graduate of the renowned Punahou School on Oahu, also captured an unprecedented 11 National Scholastic Surfing Association titles and victories at the TSB Bank Women’s Surf Festival and Rip Curl Pro Portugal, and was selected as the 2010 ASP Women’s World Tour Rookie of the Year.
Triple Crown of Surfing
2011, Moore received a wildcard entry into the Men's Triple Crown of Surfing, limited to the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa and the Vans Hawaiian Pro at Sunset Beach, becoming the first woman in history to be given the honor.
