C Different Foundation

From Openwaterpedia

The C Different Foundation works to create opportunity for visually impaired athletes to participate in athletic events. CDF also seeks out other types of opportunities for our athletes to share their message. We promote total integration — not separateness — for blind and visually impaired athletes for the benefit of society in all countries worldwide.

Sir Isaac Newton said: "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants."

"The C Different Athletes feel thankful that CAF (Challenged Athletes Foundation) provided the shoulders for them to stand on." — Erika Musser

The C Different Foundation is a 501©3 non-profit public benefit corporation. All C Different Athletes receive services free of charge. The organization is funded entirely by private philanthropic groups, fundraisers, and supporters.

The C Different Athletes receive no support from federal, state, or local governments. Support is derived from volunteer and staff fund-raising efforts, which are supported by corporations, small businesses, charitable foundations and concerned individuals.

A portion of all proceeds that C Different raises will be granted to organizations which strive to find cures that prevent and cure blindness. All contributions benefit the visually impaired athletes of C Different and are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by the IRS.
