The 2016 CSCAA National Collegiate Open Water Swimming Championships was held in Lone Star Lake in Kansas

The CSCAA National Collegiate Open Water Swimming Championships. The CSCAA will hold its first national collegiate open water swimming competition for student-athletes from collegiate men’s and women’s teams from the NCAA, NAIA, CCCAA and NJCAA institutions.

Locations

  • The first event was a 5 km race in Lone Star Lake near Lawrence, Kansas held on 17 September 2016
  • It is the site of the 2022-23 CSCAA Open Water Championship event held on 18 December 2022 and hosted by Florida International University.

CSCAA

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) is the oldest coaches association in the United States of America, founded in 1922. Presently, the CSCAA boasts more than 2,000 member coaches and assistant coaches, recognizes All-American swimmers, NCAA record-breakers and Scholar All-America athletes and teams as well as outstanding coaches and contributors, and helps oversee the welfare of collegiate swimming and diving. It is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming at the collegiate level.
