MIUS
MIUS or the Madeira Island Ultra Swim is a series of marathon swims held on Madeira Island in Portugal held between the island of Porto Santo and Madeira. The total distance is 22.7 nautical miles or 42 km with the starting point the beach of Calheta (southwestern tip of the island of Porto Santo - coordinates 33'02º04.61 N / 16'22º20.88 O) and arrival point north of Ponta de São Lourenço (tip of the island of Madeira) between 2 buoys that will be placed at coordinates 32'45º12.50 N / 16'41º32.86 O.
