C.P. Saravanavadivu
C.P. Saravanavadivu (or Kurush Phiroze Contractor) is a 56-year-old open water swimmer who has crossed the Palk Strait from Sri Lanka to India, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the English Channel.
Professional Career
He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Kreuz Holdings Limited since August 2008. He has been Group Chief Operating Officer of Swiber Holdings Ltd. since 16 June 2009. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of Kreuz Subsea Pte. Ltd. He serves as President and of Kreuz Offshore Subsea Services at Swiber Holdings Ltd. and has been its Chief Executive Officer since August 2008. He is spearheading the formation and growth of Swiber’s subsea activities including NDT inspection and Construction related work scopes. He joined Global Industries Ltd. in November 1996 as an area manager in charge of its entry into the subsea market in India, and was subsequently promoted to the position of vice president for India and Middle East in December 2004 and senior director from March 2005 to August 2008 where he had the overall responsibility for all projects and business development of Global Industries Ltd. in India.
He joined Bumi Care Offshore Production Sdn. Bhd. in May 1996 as an Offshore Installation Manager, responsible for engineering, procurement and site installation of the floating production, storage and offloading units in the South China Sea. He worked as a General Manager of Peerless Shipping & Oilfield Services Ltd from February 1996 to April 1996, where he was in charge of managing diving operations and IRM projects. Between January 1984 and July 1991, he worked offshore as a Saturation Diver, Supervisor and Superintendent.
From July 1991 to November 1996, he worked as a Project Manager and Operation Manager at Rockwater Limited, a subsidiary of KBR, Inc., where he was responsible for managing construction and IRM projects in India.
He is a qualified Commercial Deep Sea Diver certified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) of UK. He graduated from Bombay University, India with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in 1982.
