Hamilton's Butterfly For the Birds is a solo swim, all butterfly, by triathlete and open water swimmer Robin Lajoie of Hamilton, Canada 55 km around Pelee Island.

Pelee Island's Bird Sanctuary,s an NGO devoted to the study and conservation of wild birds, species at risk, and their habitats.

Course[edit]

He will begin at Point Pelee, will circle Pelee Island from west to east, and then return to Point Pelee.

Escort[edit]

He will be escorted by the vessel Leech Licker with guide Greg Horoky monitoring VHF channel 16.

Pelee Island[edit]

Pelee Island is an island in the western half of Lake Erie in Ontario, Canada. Pelee Island is connected to the Canadian and United States mainland by ferry service. It is the largest island in Lake Erie.
