Butterfield 800m Sea Swim
The Butterfield 800m Sea Swim is an open water swim held on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands and organized by the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association. The event has been conducted and sponsored by the Bank of Butterfield for 10 years.
History
The race has been held for nine years and is annually held in May.
Course
Swim starts from the beach just North of the Governor's House on West Bay Road. The route goes from there up to the southern end of Public Beach.
Time Limit
There is a race cut-off time of 40 minutes. Swimmers can continue after this time, but do so at their own risk.
Fee
CI$20 for Adults, CI$15 for Children (18 or under on race day). CI$5 discount for CIASA members. Payment will be arranged offline for this event.
Post-race
Refreshments provided. Age group trophies awarded.
