Bryon Summers

Bryon Summers was an American open water swimmer who won US$1000 in the inaugural 14-mile race around Alameda Island in San Francisco Bay, California on 30 May 1927 in 7 hours 52 minutes 30 seconds for the 14-mile course. He was among three finishers of the original 30 starters and was nicknamed the Flying Fish of the Island City.
