Bruno Dobermann is a 57-year-old German open water swimmer from Stuttgart. His nickname is ORCA.

  • He was a member of an English Channel relay called Die Kanalratten.
  • On 27 July 2011, he is the first person to complete a two-way crossing of the Beltquerung. He made a DVD about first two-way crossing of the Beltquerung called Ankommen oder absaufen ("Finish or Drown" in English).
  • On 11 July 2012, he DNF'ed a lengthwise attempt of the Bodensee in Germany after approximately 14 hours and 20 km
  • On 21 May 2012, he DNF'ed a lengthwise attempt of the Bodensee in Germany after approximately 12 hours and 27 km due to back pain.
  • On 24 May 2012, he completed the 12 km crossing of the Bodensee in Germany in 4 hours 58 minutes in 16°C water (FN -> Romanshorn).
  • On 31 December 2014 in Lippesee, Paderborn, Germany, he completed an Ice Mile in 4.57°C water and 0.00°C air temperature, swimming 1.13 miles in 55 minutes 5 seconds in a lake.
  • On 22 February 2015 in Lippesee, Paderborn, Germany, he completed an Ice Mile in 3.93°C water and 0.00°C air temperature, swimming 1.04 miles in 40 minutes 57 seconds in a lake.
  • On 6 February 2021, he completed 3 Ice Miles in 24 hours in an attempt to complete 5 Ice Miles in DLRG Paderborn Lippesee, Germany
    • first Ice Mile was in 4.67°C water and 3.60°C air temperature, swimming 1.05 miles in 50 minutes 3 seconds.
