FINA Swimwear Approval Commission
The FINA Swimwear Approval Commission is a group of individuals appointed and approved by FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) for the purpose of overseeing and making recommendations for the FINA Requirements for Swimwear Approval (FRSA) and the swimsuit approval process that is issued by the FINA Bureau and conducted by the FINA Swimwear Approval Commission. Its decisions result in a a list of approved swimwear for FINA pool and open water swimming competitions.
The members of the FINA Swimwear Approval Commission are appointed and removed by the FINA Bureau. The Commission Members shall be independent from the manufacturers. In particular, they shall not have any relationship with a swimwear manufacturer (whether of contractual nature or as a shareholder direct or indirect) nor have had such during the five preceding years.

FINA Swimming Competitions
Pool and open water competitions organised by FINA where the rules and decisions of the FINA Swimwear Approval Commission are used include but not limited to FINA World Championships (50m), FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), FINA Swimming World Cup, FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships, FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup, Summer Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games etc.
