Bruce Dixon

Bruce Dixon is an Australian open water swimmer who was the first person to swim 11.2 m (6.95 miles) from the Frankston Life Saving Club at the Frankston Pier to Mills Beach Mornington in Melbourne, Australia. His solo swim, together with Mark Cook, Tony Frey, and Leon Cox, was a pilot marathon swim for the Bloody Big Swim competition which has become a popular 11.2 km solo marathon swim and a 2- or 4-person relay team effort.
