Bronwen Burmester is an ocean swimmer from New Zealand who swam across the Apolima Strait in 2016 at the age of 37 in 8 hours 5 minutes and completed the 20 km Chopper Swim Challenge from Waiheke Island to Auckland, New Zealand in 5 hours 25 minutes on 26 March 2018 who was honored at the 2018 New Zealand Ultra-Marathon Swim Awards.
