Beneficiary

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation has given its patronage to World Wide Fund’s Swim for Nature campaign at the Bridge House Mile swim in Franschoek in February 2015. The Foundation’s ambassador, Olympic swimmer Terence Parkin, will swim the mile in support of WWF.

The Foundation is further committed to water safety and the promotion of swimming both as a life skill and a sport. As such, the Foundation will be supporting a swim awareness programme in Franschoek linked to the Bridge House Mile, and will make sure that the development swimmers who are part of the programme have the opportunity not only of learning to swim, but also of experiencing a sports event like the Bridge House Mile and being inspired by swimming celebrities like Terence Parkin and Ryk Neethling, amongst others.
