Brett Baker (born Aug 11) is an accomplished waterman in Seal Beach, California. Brett swam for the Seal Beach Swim Club, Golden West Swim Club, and Irvine Novaquatics. He competed for many years with the Huntington Beach Jr Lifeguards in regional and national races including an exchange program with the New Zealand Life Saving association. Brett excels at long distance open water swimming, he is an accomplished surfer, paddler, and body surfer. After a brief stint in Anchorage Alaska he is back practicing in the Naples canals and the Belmont pool when he is not on shift as an Air Traffic Controller at the Long Beach Airport. He will be swimming the Catalina Channel in June of 2013 in an attempt to complete the Open Water Swimming Triple Crown.
