Brent Rice is the namesake of the Brent Rice Memorial Swim of the Sound that was started in 2006 by 17-year-old Justin Moser. Brent, a state- and national-level swimmer with All-American honors, passed away in a car accident. ocal swimmer, where he competed at both the state and national level receiving All-American honors.
