Raise the Bar

Raise the Bar (RTB) is a group of multisport athletes that provides training and produces events in the Puget Sound area in the state of Washington.

RTB Mission Statement

Raise the Bar creates opportunities for fun and personal achievement through multisport.

RTB Core Values

  • Safety – The physical protection and dignity of athletes, staff and all other individuals encountering RTB workouts, training programs and events are its #1 priority.
  • Humility – RTB places the needs of others before our own.
  • Community – to make all people (team members, sponsors, athletes, vendors) experience a sense of welcome and belonging
  • Continuous Improvement – RTB constantly assesses, improves, and refines every aspect of the organization. RTB does this through objective analysis of the facts, asking questions, listening intently and being open to new and different approaches to getting things done.

RTB History

RTB’s team started as a group of 7 women in 2004 and grew to a current roster of about 200. While its results show a fair number of age-group placings and overall race wins, RTB is most proud of the fact that it is a team of diverse abilities and experiences. Its members raced more than 1,500 times in 110+ different races – triathlons, duathlons, swim meets and open water swims, bike races, and running races. Its staff and coaches train and race right alongside its team members.
