The Travesía La Bocaina (Bocaina Strait Swim or B15K) is a 15-kilometer marathon swim in the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 125 km off the coast of Africa and 1,000 km from the Iberian Peninsula. The swim is from Lanzarote, a Spanish island on the easternmost of the Canary Islands to Fuerteventura, another Spanish island of the Canary Islands. Fuerteventura is a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2009.
The 15 km Travesía La Bocaina is organized by Club Triatlón Vulcano and supported by the Oliver Acuña.
Pilots
Carlos is a pilot of Traversia la Bocaina from Playa Blanca on Lanzarote. He escorted Pádraig Mallon from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura.
