Bob Armstrong

Bob Armstrong is an Australian film maker who made the film King of the Channel in 1976, a documentary about Des Renford's English Channel swims. It won a Logie as the best sports documentary film in Australia in 1976.

He also created a film called Nothing Great is Easy, a triology of open water swimming races vs. Kevin Murphy in the English Channel, Sydney Harbour and Loch Ness. He also made Ironmen of the Sea, a Logie-winning profile of the Marouba surfer Dennis Heussner, and Quest for Gold about decathlete champions Daley Thompson and Peter Hadfield.
