Open Water Swimming Career Highlights

She competed in the inaugural Cold Water Challenge, a 2.6-mile jetty-to-jetty ocean swim in Penfield Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut.
She participated in the relay team, Theresa's Battleship in the 15.5-mile St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound marathon swim in Connecticut, together with 59-year-old Polly Edwards, 55-year-old Ellen Finnigan, 58-year-old Cathleen Lozier, 55-year-old Sean O’Connor, 64-year-old Kathi Peck, and escort boat pilot Richard Langlois. Theresa's Battleship completed the 15.5-mile St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound marathon swim from Port Jefferson, Long Island, to Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport to raise money for individuals and families battling cancer on 2 August 2016 under the contingency plan. Theresa’s Battleship raised US$14,160 to provide financial support and care for the needs that health insurance companies do not cover for cancer patients. The team was in the Never Alone category where two of the relay swimmers take turns swimming side-by-side at the same time, representing the concept that one is never alone when you are fighting cancer.
She finished the 10 km marathon swim at the 2016 Barbados Open Water Festival.
She won the women's division of the 4-mile Triple Dip in Coney Island in September 2016.
On 31 August 2019, she finished 6th in the 45.9 km 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan Island in New York City in 7 hours 19 minutes 25 seconds at the age of 54.
