Bergeggi is a protected marine environment in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about 90 km southwest of Genoa and about 50 km southwest of Savona. It is a beautiful location with a population of 1,212 and site of the annual SwimTheIsland event organized by Matteo Testa of bewater. The Swim the Island race goes around Isola di Bergeggi and is part of the ProSwim Challenge.
