Benjamin Moomaw is the namesake of Lake Moomaw, a body of water surrounded by beautiful mountain located at 1,582 feet in altitude in the Alleghany Highlands in Virginia, U.S.A. Lake Moomaw offers an endless array of activities including boating, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and an open water swim called the Lake Moomaw Swim, a 1-mile swim organized by Sandra Denius to be held on 3 August 2013 that will start at the Coles Point beach.
