Benjamin Freeman is a 23-year-old Australian open water swimmer and an official with the International Ice Swimming Association from Canberra.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- He achieved the Frosted Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming on 2 June 2019.
- On 11 October 2014, he won the 15 km Clean Half Marathon Swim in Hong Kong in 3 hours 33 minutes 4 seconds. His sister, Jemma Freeman won the women's division in the same race.
- On 9 August 2015, he completed a crossing of the English Channel in 9 hours 10 minutes at the age of 17.
- On 27 February 2016, he completed the 19.7 km Rottnest Channel Swim in Western Australia in 4 hours 18 minutes 27 minutes at the age of 18.
- On 17 December 2016, he completed the 10 km Balmoral Ocean Swim in Australia in 2 hours 9 minutes 16 seconds.
- On 25 June 2017, he won a 45.8 km circumnavigation around Manhattan Island in the 20 Bridges Manhattan Swim in 6 hours 55 minutes 21 seconds at the age of 19.
- On 13 July 2017, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 8 hours 47 minutes 42 seconds at the age of 19.
- On 13 July 2017, he completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming as the fourth youngest person of all time.
