noun - Belgrad suit is a tight-fitting competitive swimsuit (or skinsuit) with a high neckline that was designed by West Germany's Dr. Conrad Dottinger in the aftermath of the 1974 Yugoslavia World Swimming Championships when the East German female swimmers set 7 world records and won 10 out of 14 events. The swimsuit was provocative at the time for being unlined and made out of Lyrac.
