Attila Molnar
Attila Molnar was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1998 as an Honour Swimmer. He is a Hungarian open water swimmer and coach of the Hungarian open water swimming team.
Open Water Swimming Career[edit]
- He was crowned the International Marathon Swimming Association world champion two years in a row.
- He won the 46 km (22.5-mile) Around-the-Island Marathon Swim in Atlantic City, USA in 1995.
- He finished second in the 40 km (25-mile) Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean professional marathon swim in 10 hours 20 minutes in Canada in 1995 and third in 10 hours 40 seconds in 1996.
- He competed in the 1991 FINA World Championships 25 km race.
- On 10 August 1992, he finished 6th in the Sylvan Lake World Series Marathon Swim in Alberta, Canada.
