Arvand Kenar (Persian: اروندكنار, also Romanized as Arvandkenār and Arvandkenar) is a city in and the capital of Arvandkenar District, in Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,761 with 1,897 families. Arvandkenar is a port city, 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Abadan, and has oil reserves. Arvandkenar is the last port of Iran on Arvand Rud.

Mohammad Hossein Bibi Kobadi completed an unprecedented 1000 kilometer assisted stage swim in the Persian Gulf from the Strait of Hormuz to Arvand Kenar along the coast of southeastern Iran. His assisted stage swim took 84 days where he averaged 11.7 kilometers (7.2 miles) per day.
