Aquidneck Island is an island located in the U.S. state of Rhode Island, in Narragansett Bay. Aquidneck Island is home to three towns, from north to south geographically: Portsmouth, Middletown and Newport.

Trent Theroux is the first person to swim solo around Aquidneck Island, a 40-mile circumnavigation that took him 17 hours 30 minutes called Back to Newport.
