Aoraki or Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. Its height is 3,724 meters. It lies in the Southern Alps, the mountain range which runs the length of the South Island, and is a popular tourist destination.

Jaimie Monahan completed one of her Ice Sevens Ice Miles on 15 May 2017 in Tasman Lake on Aoraki in 2.37°C water (20°C air) in 26 minutes 44 seconds in a glacier lake.
