Antony Smith

Antony Smith was a flight lieutenant of the Royal Air Force of the 26 Squadron RAF Regiment who led a six-man 72-mile (115.87 km) relay from Anima Bernie in southern Turkey to Kyrinia, Cyprus in 44 hours in 1962. The relay was escorted by an RAF Marine craft and piloted by Flight Lieutenant Doug Potter. The relay was included in the 1972 edition of Guinness World Records (page 296).
