The Annette Kellermans were a line of one-piece swimsuits designed and promoted by marathon swimmer Annette Kellerman in the early 20th century. The swimwear line was controversial, but the first step to modern swimwear.

Annette Kellermann

Annette Kellerman (6 July 1887 – 6 November 1975) was an open water swimmer from Australia who was inducted as an Honour Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1965 and an inductee in the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1974.
