Anita Sood

Anita Sood is a former national woman swimming champion of India. She is currently living in Los Angeles, California.

She became the fastest Asian swimmer to cross the English Channel.
She was awarded Arjuna Award for her achievements including a second place finish in the 1988 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim around New York.
She competed in the 25 km race at the 1991.
On 10 August 1992, she finished 11th in the Sylvan Lake World Series Marathon Swim in Alberta, Canada.
On 5 July 1992, she finished 7th in the 36th edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy in 7 hours 42 minutes 41 seconds.
On 6 July 1991, she finished 9th in the 35th edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy in 8 hours 36 minutes 15 seconds.
On 5 July 1990, she did not finish the 35th edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy.
On 9 July 1989, she finished 4th in the 34th edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy in 7 hours 56 minutes 23 seconds.
On 10 July 1988, she finished 3rd in the 33rd edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy in 9 hours 26 minutes 11 seconds.
On 12 July 1987, she finished 4th in the 32nd edition of the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy in 8 hours 5 minutes 38 seconds.
