Andre Metzger is a 60-year-old American wrestler and coach from Texas who retired as the world's winningest wrestler in history and is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. At the age of 19, Metzger was a World Championship medalist who later won two NCAA titles at the University of Oklahoma. USA Wrestling touts Metzger as "one of the greatest technicians in amateur wrestling history; e wrestled and won more matches than anyone, competing in over 2,000 matches and winning 1,870 for an estimated winning percentage of 93.5%.”

He conceived and teaches the 9 Hands Principle.

The 9 Hands Principle is a concept and teaching methodology conceived by Hall of Fame wrestler Andre Metzger. The 9 Hands refers to the two feet, two knees, two elbows, two hands, and the head on a wrestler, swimmer or any other athlete in movement.
