Alex Flynn en route to completion of the Trans America Challenge

Alex Flynn from Henley, England is a former lawyer, public speaker, and endurance athlete.

He suffers from early-onset Parkinson's disease but he plans the Trans America Challenge, a solo attempt to run, row, cycle and swim 10 million meters (over 3,500 miles) across the United States as a £1 million fundraiser for Parkinson's research. His disease is an incurable degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, threatening to take away his ability to move.
