Albert Coward



Albert Coward (born 27 January 1940) is a British open water swimmer from Halifax,Yorkshire who has been permanently domiciled in Naples, Italy since 1978 and is the co-proprietor of the Bed & Breakfast Posillipo Dream in Napoli.
Coward swam the length of Lake Coniston 14 times (including 3 two-way crossings), Lake Ullswater 7 times (including 2 two-way crossings), Lake Windermere 6 times (including 1 two way crossing), around the Isle of Ischia 4 times, around the Isle of Procida, and betweenTorregravata-Bacoli on many occasions. He pioneered many swims in the Gulf of Naples, Italy. After completing his open water swimming career, he enjoyed many years of masters swimming with the Posillipo Circolo Nautico Masters, Naples.
Honors
He was inducted as an Honour Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, Class of 2018.
