Adrian Leblanc

Adrian D. LeBlanc, Ph.D. served as the Director of the Division of Space Life Sciences (DSLS) at the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) from 2002 to 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Iowa State University, and the University of Kansas. He is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and adjunct professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UTMB. Dr. LeBlanc continues to bring to the DSLS considerable experience with both ground-based and in- flight experiments. His primary research interests relate to the investigation of the loss and recovery of bone and muscle tissue in weightlessness and the development of countermeasures.
