The first successful all-women Tsugaru Channel women's relay team

Abe is a Japanese open water swimmer who successfully crossed the Tsugaru Channel from Honshu to Hokkaido in northern Japan on 21 August 2014 in the first all-women relay team. The team of Asano, Abe, Inoue, Kataoka, and Takahashi completed the 39 km crossing in 13 hours 44 minutes.
