Tera Van Beilen

Tera van Beilen (born 30 March 1993) is a 24-year-old Olympic pool swimmer and open water swimmer from Canada. She is currently attending the University of British Columbia studying kinesiology, and is an active member of the UBC Thunderbirds university swimming team.

Swimming Career Highlights[edit]

  • She competed in the 2016 and 2017 Barbados Open Water Festival, finishing fourth in the 10 km marathon swim.
  • In the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore, she won a gold medal in the women's 100m breaststroke and a silver in the 200m breaststroke.
  • She had qualified for the 2012 London Olympics when she placed first with a time of 2:24.03.
  • During the 2012 London Olympics, she participated in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and 4x100m medley relay.
  • She competes regularly in local, provincial, and international level swimming competitions.
