From Openwaterpedia

St. John Beach-to-Beach Power Swim is part of the West Indies Bluewater Ocean Swim Series held in the Caribbean Sea.

West Indies Bluewater Swim Series[edit]

The Series includes four exciting world-class open water swimming events held throughout the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea. These swim races span and reflect the diversity of the West Indian islands with the Turks & Caicos in the north (just below the Bahamas), St. John (USVI) a little farther southeast next to Puerto Rico, Nevis in the middle of the archipelago, and Trinidad to the south.

The first race is the StarMile2.5 Nevis-St. Kitts, a 2.5-mile Cross-Channel Swim on 25 March 2012. The second is the Beach-to-Beach Power Swim, 1- , 2.25- and 3.5-mile swim on 27 May 2012 in St John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The third race is the Race For The Conch Eco-SeaSwim, a 1- and 2.4-mile swim on 7 July 2012 in Turks & Caicos. The fourth race is the Maracas Bay Open Water Classic, a 750m, 2.65K Race and 5K Race in Trinidad.
