noun - Skin swim is a non-wetsuit, non-neoprene open water swim or a division or category in an open water swimming competition where athletes do not wear a wetsuit or use any kind of neoprene. In the open water swimming community, a skin swim is not skinny-dipping (swimming without clothes); rather it is performed with a porous swimsuit, goggles, and possibly, a swim cap and ear plugs.
